The European Footvolley Championship 2018
In 2018 bolao hosted its first major international tournament in Graz.
The “European Footvolley Championship” was held on the main square in the city center. The event attracted over 10.000 spectators during the tournament days. Teams from 13 European countries took part in a male and female competition and introduced the sport to the Austrian spectators in style.
Prominent guests and local sportsmen came to watch live. The event was promoted heavily by the local media and newspapers. A professional livestream spread the pictures around the globe.
Big congrats to France (male) and the Netherlands (female) for winning the title!
The event set a huge milestone in the development of bolao as a brand and footvolley as a sport in Austria. We are happy to have been co-organizer and supplier of the tournament.
